Your commission, thoughtfully made.
Design, payment, delivery and aftercare. Updated 23 October 2026.
1. Begin with an enquiry
DDIYA accepts bespoke jewellery, artwork and object enquiries from Hong Kong and internationally. All pieces are made to order. An enquiry does not create an order. We discuss your idea and provide a written USD quotation before payment. The agreed quotation records your materials, dimensions, construction, price, destination and schedule.
2. Design & approval
We aim to provide your first design within around one week if no revisions are needed. Three rounds of design revisions are included. Additional changes or a new brief are discussed and quoted before work continues. We ask for your written design approval before production.
3. Payment
A 50% deposit confirms your commission. Half of that deposit is the design fee, equivalent to 25% of the total order price. The remaining 50% of the order price is payable before dispatch, after you review photographs of the finished piece. Payment instructions are provided with your quotation; please do not send payment before we confirm your commission.
4. Making & timing
Production takes 30 working days after design approval, plus shipping time. The first design period and revision time are separate. We confirm the expected schedule individually and contact you about any change. Rush requests depend on availability and may incur an additional charge agreed in advance.
5. Delivery & pricing
Your final written quotation includes tracked shipping and applicable taxes for the agreed delivery destination. We confirm chain, presentation and any other inclusions in that quote. Tell us about a destination change before dispatch so we can confirm any price or delivery adjustment. Transit estimates are confirmed individually; production time is not a guaranteed arrival date.
6. Changes & ordinary cancellation
Contact us promptly if your plans change. There is no charge for your initial enquiry. Once design has begun but production has not been approved, 50% of your deposit is refundable; the other half covers the design work. Once you approve production, the deposit is non-refundable for an ordinary cancellation, subject to applicable law and any adjustment required to reflect work performed, committed costs and recoverable savings. We explain any amount retained. This does not limit remedies for a faulty, damaged or misdescribed piece.
7. Aftercare & concerns
Vitreous enamel holds its colour with proper care but can chip or crack under impact. Handle gently and follow our care guidance. Accidental damage repairs are assessed and quoted individually. We do not offer ring resizing.
If your piece arrives damaged, has a defect or clearly differs from your approved design, contact us with photographs and order details. We assess the concern and arrange repair, remaking or refund as appropriate. Please contact us before returning an item. Your applicable statutory rights are unaffected by these terms, including the ordinary cancellation arrangements above.
8. Your photographs
We use your references and enquiry only to discuss and fulfil your commission. We do not use them for publicity without separate permission. See our privacy notice.
